Turning tool for machining an inside back shoulder
The trick is to create the tool as an "external left-hand turning tool" and then set the angle to 180° in the "F2 Characteristics" to make it an internal turning tool.
However, because the parameters for the geometry are then of course also preset for a "normal" external turning tool, you still have to "tinker" quite a bit under "F3 Geometry" until you get the dimensions roughly right. Below you can find an example that you can use as a guide. Once you have created such a turning tool, the best way to create similar tools later is to choose F1 Tools > F3 Management > Select template tool > F4 Copy tool and then call up this copy via F1 Tools > F2 Modfy and only adjust the necessary parameters and the name.
Example 1:
Tool tip angle 55
Tool tip length 6
Tool tip radius 0.4
Tool length 14
Shank width 14
Tool width 15
Tool angle 95
Tool offset X -14
Tool offset Z 85
Holder length X 8
Holder length Z 100
Holder offset 4
Holder offset Z 100
Heavy roughing chisel (V lip) for internal machining
You can also use the same principle to define a heavy-duty roughing tool or V-shaped tool (which works in two quadrants) for internal machining: Type "Turning tool V lip" > "F2 Characteristics" Normal, Spindle rot. to the left, 180°
Axial plunge cutter
Depending on the tool and the calculated cutting edge, select the type "Cutting tool External left" or "Cutting tool External right" and set the angle to -90°. However, you will also find many examples of such cutters in the delivery status (e.g. SE-3.00-02NL / FFS2020 64-100L) and can use one of them as a template for a copy as described above.
Ecocut Tool (a tool that can drill and turn)
Up to revision 60 of SYMplus™, you had to use a trick to do this, create the tool as an internal turning tool and use the "Handwheel" work step for drilling. In the meantime, such a tool (turning tool) can also be enabled for "Drilling" via "F4 Processing". If you are working with user data that were delivered with revision 60 or later, you will already find some of such tools in the delivery status, e.g. "EC20L_3xD / XCNT 10T308".

If you cannot create your tool with the help of this list, please send us a photo of the actual tool, ideally also a sketch or drawing with dimensions, if available from the manufacturer, to support@cnc-keller.de !
