Forged part as blank

In SYMplus™ Turning, it is possible to select a blank as an allowance contour tothe finished part, which is an easy way to approximate the geometry of the forged part. If this has different allowances to the finished part, you can either design the blank completely freely around the finished part in Geometry mode, then delete the finished part geometry and save the blank as a file in the same way as the finished part. You can also use the Geometry mode via F4 Mirror ... > F7 Allowance to first create a contour with a constant allowance, then delete and redesign parts of the contour and finally save as a file and load as blank geometry in the work plan.
